Wake Up: Your Cup

I spend most of my morning’s on-the-go, grabbing easy fixes like toaster pastries, muffins, or instant oatmeal as I run out of the door. When Saturday rolls around, I love to indulge in a hearty, English-style breakfast. Just like the Brits, I’ll cook up a full breakfast of bacon, eggs in a basket, hash browns, toast, and last, but never least, tea.

The most traditional breakfast tea, black tea is generally a full-bodied, robust or rich tea that goes perfectly with milk and sugar.  From the hand-rolled, malted undertones of Black Dragon Pearl to the most prized ‘Queen of Fragrance’ tea, Capital of Heaven Keemun, every variety of black tea pairs perfectly with breakfast.

Saturday’s big breakfast requires plenty of multitasking to make sure everything comes out piping hot so I love the convenience of the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker.  I simply fill with my favorite Golden Monkey tea, and with the touch of a button and no timer-watching by me, the Breville Tea Maker has my tea prepared and warm when the rest of the meal is ready.

Breakfast is served!

I love this idea! I have a very similar lifestyle, and I never thought making my Saturday morning tea could be so simple. Thanks so much for improving my life!

I love that tea maker…I may have to try it! Love flavored black teas as well…Weight to Go is my absolute fave.

Keemun does make an excellent breakfast tea. It was the original base tea for English Breakfast Tea and Earl Grey. When the British decided to create their own tea industry in India, they began to use Assam instead.
Keemun is a very richly flavored tea, ever so slightly smokey tempered with a gentle hint of fruitiness.

This is a fabulous idea. I was at one of your stores yesterday and was thinking about how nice it would be to have a simple-prep tool for my morning tea. Thanks for the tip.
