Love Thanksgiving More with Oolong

Love Turkey? How about the side dishes? Thanksgiving is a great time for eating, but I have a secret for you: you can enjoy Thanksgiving a bit more with Oolong teas.

Oolong tea is often served at Chinese restaurants for good reason. It’s the perfect tea for enjoying a meal – and a must-have for eating high-cholesterol meals. Oolong does a couple of things:

  • Oolong teas help you digest your food.
  • Oolong teas help lower the intake of fat from high-cholesterol meals.
  • Tannic acid in Oolong teas help reduce your cholesterol.
  • Oolong teas help increase your metabolism.

With this set of benefits, we should really be thankful for Oolong! Not only will it help you digest your food, but it helps keep the fat out of your system and burn whatever fat gets in. So enjoy a cup of Oolong with your turkey (or tofu) dinner, preferably just after you eat. Not only is it a healthy choice, you’ll really enjoy the taste!

I purchased a blended tea a year ago that included the Jasmine Phoenix pearls and another tea. It is a very fragrant, flowery scented tea which was advertised to be a great stress reliever. I have lost the tag and can’t remember the second tea blended. Any ideas?

Hey Susan, is it the Jasmine Pearls and the Rooibos Tropica mixture? or is it the Jasmine Pearls and Lavender Dreams (white tea)?

Hope these help….David

It probably was the Rooibos Tropica. That’s what Teavana advertizes the JDPP to be mixed with and it’s thier permanent sample in all the stores because it is the top seller brand. If you want to stick with the oolong theme, the jamine oolong goes well with the tropica. i also like sweet lily white with the tropica.
