Sipping Hibiscus…

As we fight through the last weeks of winter, we are all craving a bit of sunshine and the vibrant views of flowers. In hopes of sending spring my way a bit early this year, I’ve been sipping teas inspired by the garden. Sweet Fruit Garden herbal tea is filled with everything spring, with a blend of sour cherries, apples, candied papaya, raspberries, grapes, rosehips and hibiscus.
One of my favorite flowering ingredients within this bright blend of sweet and sour notes is hibiscus. Beyond it’s beautiful color and revitalizing tart taste, hibiscus has been known to lower blood pressure. According to World Tea News, a study noting that “three cups of hibiscus tea per day could lower blood pressure in adults who have mild hypertension” was published in the Journal of Nutrition this February.
So let spring in early with a sip of a hibiscus or any other favorite floral and fruity tea blend.
I’m drinking this one right now! I love it iced! Blends well with Sour Cherry Serenade
