Give with Meaning

My favorite part of the holidays is the contagious spirit of giving that seems to overcome everyone. That giddiness that bubbles up when you find the perfect gift and the anticipation of knowing how your loved ones will simply glow when they see it. The trick to finding the right gift isn’t about how much cash you spend or knowing the latest trends. It’s really more about the meaning behind it. Selecting gifts steeped in rich symbolism is a unique way to express your appreciation, love or friendship.

One symbol I’m including in my gift-giving this season is the ancient Chinese dragon. Representing good fortune, power and strength, the dragon is a powerfully uplifting ancient image. The versatility of this beautiful symbol makes it appropriate for family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and teachers alike. Afterall, who couldn’t use a little strength and good fortune in these times? Here are a few of my favorite dragon products:

Winter Dragon Yixing Teapot Imperial Dragon Cast Iron Teapot
Six Dragons Glass Tumbler

Black Dragon Pearls Black Tea

Tip: I always tie a little note explaining the ancient symbolism to each gift. It lets the recipient know how much thought you put into their gift and they’ll treasure it that much more knowing its rich ancient history.

Happy Giving!
