Celebrate National Hot Tea Month and a Healthy 2011

January is National Hot Tea Month. What a great time to explore new teas and a tasty way to warm up after hitting the slopes or shoveling out that driveway. Tea Lovers, grab your cups and celebrate!

Find a New Favorite
We all have our favorite go-to morning brew. But, this month, why not celebrate by exploring new teas? Try My Morning Mate. The natural energy boost will keep you going for hours. I love the roasted, nutty taste with subtle chocolate notes and just a hint of spice. As mate teas may curb appetite, I sip this throughout the morning and find I’m less likely to indulge in the office cupcake trays and candy bowls.

Not quite ready to let go of your morning standby? Give your old favorite a fresh twist by blending with new teas for added flavor and health benefits. When I want to spice things up or take in more healthy antioxidants, I mix My Morning Mate with Chai/Chai Tea for a bold, energizing blend packed with health benefits. Custom creations are simple, flavorful and a great way to take control of your health.

Pamper Yourself
If you’re anything like me, you’re constantly running around for your kids, spouse and work. This month, take some time to take care of you as well. Teas for relaxation and wellness are a great way to get on top of your health and curb daily stress. I love Silver Yin Zhen Pearls for its delicately sweet, floral taste. It’s also high in antioxidants, which may hydrate your skin, reduce fine lines and improve complexion–like a day at the spa right inside your cup. Also try the oh-so-soothing Pear Luna. Naturally low in caffeine, this fruity, gentle blend is the perfect ending to a long day.

Tea Lovers Unite
What better reason to throw a tea party than National Hot Tea Month? Gather your closest friends for a contemporary tea tasting. Offer a variety of types and flavors, scattering stations around the room to encourage guests to move and mingle. Place a label by each pot with the name and origin so guests can note their favorites.

Don’t forget the little ones! Naturally caffeine free, rooibos teas are a great way to introduce kids to the flavors and health benefits of tea. Set up a little tea table for them with tea cookies and fruits. Serve Rooibos Tropica for a sweet, fruity treat they’re sure to love!

Happy Hot Tea Month! Be sure to let us know how you’re celebrating!
