Teaviews’ Review of Black Dragon Pearl Black Tea

Laura gives our Black Dragon Pearl Black Tea a 9.5 out of 10 on Teaviews

“My favorite black tea blends are often those that are malty yet not super astringent, so that quality in this is scoring huge bonus points with me.”

Laura continues to note:

“I found this tea to be brisk, malty, robust, smooth, invigorating, and let us not forget the chocolate undertones. Overall, I really enjoyed this cup and this is one that I intend to enjoy in the future.”

This tippy black tea is harvested and hand-rolled in the Yunnan province of China.  Heat water to just before boiling and then gently pour over the pearls. As you steep for 3-4 minutes, make sure to watch the tea delicately unfurl and release an intoxicating aroma as the leaves color the water a deep golden amber shade. The smooth taste is peppered with chocolate and malty undertones.

This pick-me-up tea is perfect for the morning, and considering that it’s good for multiple infusions, it will last long into the afternoon. As you sip the malty goodness, keep in mind that studies show that black tea is heart healthy and promotes healthy skin, teeth and bones.

If you’re looking to intensify the chocolate factor while changing up the flavor profile, we recommend that you blend it with the Azteca Fire Herbal Tea. This blend of chocolate and strawberries is taken to the next level with a burst of chili peppers. An ancient Aztec tradition, chocolate and chili peppers are the perfect companion to the malty Black Dragon Pearl tea.
