For the weekend: Earl Grey Creme Toddy

Earl Grey Creme Black TeaYes, tea and alcohol do mix very well at times. This is a delicious alcoholic tea drink that might just warm up your weekend! Instructions on making it a virgin Earl Grey Creme toddy at the bottom, if you prefer.

Earl Grey Creme Toddy
Makes one 8oz spiked hot drink. Use 1 tsp of Earl Grey Creme and steep with 7oz of just boiling water for 2 minutes. Add 1oz Bailey’s Irish Creme liquor and serve hot.

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute 1oz whipped cream, 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup and 1 tsp mint syrup for the Bailey’s.

Easy, delicious and it will warm you inside and out on a cold night. Any tea cocktails you recommend?

I keep a bottle of vodka in the freezer, steeped with Dragon Phoenix Pearl Jasmine tea. When I pull that out, I mix it with some plain water, simple syrup, and maybe some matching fruits – I’ve used mint and kumquats before. It is quite good! I also enjoy oolong-steeped vodka. The nice thing about vodka is that the taste is so clean, so the flavor of whatever you are steeping in it really shines.

Mel, Can you explain how you steep the tea in the vodka? This sounds very interesting and very good!

Thanks,
Michelle

Has anyone tried this with Dos Equis?
