Delicious Autumn Teas
Looking for that perfect Fall tea? As the seasons change, I always find myself looking for a little different taste in my teas. And Autumn is the time for a spicy, harvest tea that just wouldn’t work during Summer. Of course, many teas will work during Autumn as long as you make them hot (who craves iced tea when it’s 45 degrees outside?). But these are what I consider the absolute best teas for Autumn. Each has a particular taste or aroma that seems especially perfect for the season.
So, without further preamble, here are my suggestions for great Autumn Teas that really fit the season:
Plum Harvest Herbal Tea is the quintessential Autumn tea that works much better in cold weather than warm weather. The rich mix of plums, cinnamon, and apples make a steaming cup of this a must have on cold days. And with no caffeine, it is excellent during the evening.
Spice Nut Mate Herbal Tea also fits the bill as a great Autumn tea. Featuring cocoa, spices, and nuts, it brings to mind the rich tastes of Fall. This one includes quite a bit of caffeine and works better as a breakfast wake-me-up-on-a-cold-morning tea. Not recommended at night!
Spice of Life White Tea includes pistachios and almonds, which give it that spicy, Autumn flavor that you’re craving. It also includes Rooibos tea, which just adds to the Fall feel of this delicious tea. Don’t miss a steaming cup this season!
Rooibos Chai Herbal Tea is another great tea for cooler weather. The spicy flavor and refreshing warmth help sooth your body and relax your mind. And the reddish liquor of Rooibos tea just seems to fit the season, if that makes sense!
Ginger Bread Cookie Herbal Tea is another tea that should be on your Fall drinking list. This tea is naturally sweet with that delicious ginger bread taste that just screams “Autumn.” And the scent is a heavenly treat that brings to mind all that is good about Autumn. So steep a hot cup as you watch the Fall leaves drift down to the cold ground. And enjoy!
Almond Biscotti Black Tea has a cinnamon and almond base that will instantly make you crave a thick, cable-knit sweater and a layer of snow outside. This delicious tea is great all year, but Autumn seems to bring out the best in it. If you love black teas, now is the time to try a hot cup of Almond Biscotti.
Azteca Fire Herbal Tea is perhaps the odd one on this list. You don’t typically think: Chocolate + Strawberries = Autumn. But when you add some spicy heat it changes everything. And this herbal tea is a great hot tea for Autumn with a spicy finish that will have you craving more.
Another tip: if you have a normal black, green, or even white tea that isn’t already flavored in some way add a bit of Peppermint tea to it. This gives it a nice Autumn change that you’ll appreciate (Peppermint tea is perfect for making Autumn blends). Of course, Autumn tastes are relative, so please post your favorite Teavana teas for Autumn as well.
Great tea blends! Can’t wait to try them all, I love this time of year.
Cheers
