Tea Blend of the Day: Apple Pie tea
In honor of the 4th of July holiday, I thought a great Apple Pie tea would be in order. What better than Apple Pie to enjoy on the 4th? And this tea also includes Red Tea (Rooibos), so I thought it was particularly appropriate.
Since this is an all-herbal tea (or tisane, if you prefer), it does not include any caffeine. And it’s chock full of vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants. It also includes Honeybush, which is a close relative of the Rooibos from South Africa. It is a bit sweeter than Rooibos, but still healthy for you. You can read more about Honeybush here. Here’s our tea blend for today:
Apple Pie Tea: 3 teaspoons Turkish Apple herbal tea, 2 teaspoons Honeybush Vanilla tea, 1 teaspoon Rooibos Sweet Amore tea. Heat water just until boiling and steep tea for 4-5 minutes. Add a bit of Rock Cane Sugar, if you prefer.
As you can see by the amount of tea, this is a very flavorful herbal tea and does give you that mouthwatering apple pie taste. It also helps reduce the risk of cancer by flooding your body with antioxidants and adds vitamins and minerals as well. Needless to say, it’s a lot more healthy than eating a slice of apple pie!
This blend came from our Sunrise, Florida store in Northbrook Court. Also remember our Apple Pie a la Mode Tea blend, which is a slightly different take on the classic American dessert.
Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!
