Tea Blend of the Day: Cotton Candy Iced Tea blend

We’re on a sweet tea of the day kick, but it seems to be popular so I’ll continue today. Today’s tea is essentially a diet iced tea, since it tastes best over a tall glass of ice. To make it, steep the tea as normal (but note the high tea quantities - you have to double the tea in iced teas) then pour over ice as soon as it’s done steeping. Here’s the blend:

Cotton Candy Tea blend: Use 2 teaspoons Cloud 9 Rooibos tea, 2 teaspoons Sweet Fruit Garden herbal tea, and 1 teaspoon Six Summits Oolong Tea. Heat water to just before boiling and steep for 2-3 minutes. Recommend that you add a bit of Rock Cane Sugar or your favorite honey to sweeten it a bit (it fits the name “cotton candy” better with sweetner). Pour over ice.

This tea has a bit of caffeine from the oolong, but not much. And it has a wonderfully delicious sweet taste, but is essentially “diet” because of the Oolong’s health benefits. The rooibos and herbal teas help add antioxidants as well as vitamins and minerals. So it’s a very healthy cotton candy treat! Unfortunately, the tea isn’t pink in case you were wondering.

This blend comes from our Sunrise, Florida store in Sawgrass Mills.

I have yet to try it but the name sounds rather unappealing, it brings to mind everyones favorite “ginger bread cookie” tea

Wow, sounds yummy. I’ll have to try it out in the future.
