Teas for Dad: Father’s Day Gifts that aren’t ties . . .

Looking for a more unique gift for Father’s day this year? Why not try a healthy, delicious tea? Teavana has some great gifts that I think most Dad’s would enjoy (even coffee drinkers would rather have tea than a tie, trust me).

Our Emperor’s Collection gift set is perfect for the dad who considers himself (somewhat) the emperor of the house. It contains some very rare teas that aren’t offered outside of the set and gives you the opportunity to share a cup of tea with dad after the gifts are opened. It also includes six gold embossed tea tins that are very cool.

For the dad who hunts, we have Gunpowder. That’s Gunpowder tea, of course. It’s a very high grade green tea that has an interesting, more pungent flavor. It was named gunpowder tea by European explorers who compared the tightly rolled balls of tea to real gunpowder. And don’t worry, it won’t explode . . .

If dad is a coffee-drinker, help his health with a bag of MateVana Herbal tea. It’s considered the “coffee-drinker’s tea” because it has a coffee-like flavor with all the caffeine that a cup of coffee would have. However, it’s actually healthy for your heart and the caffeine is released more slowly, which keeps your dad from hitting the wall later in the day. But it still has a chocolaty taste that is very reminiscent of coffee, so he’ll be happy.

If dad only drinks black tea with a little milk in it (in other words, he’s from Northern Europe), then try our Golden Monkey black tea. It’s an excellent black tea that tastes great with or without that dab of milk. And with a name like Golden Monkey, it’s perfect for those dads always telling jokes that you don’t quite get.

And I’m throwing in one non-tea gift for the dad who is always on the go: our Travel Tea Thermos that includes a strainer. It not only can make tea as he is walking out the door, it will keep hot tea hot and iced tea cold until you can finish it. So dad has no excuse not to drink the healthy teas over the coffee . . . .

Hope this helps. You can see all of our tea gift ideas here. Whatever you do, no ties please.
