Tea in the Summertime

There is no reason to give up your favorite beverage when the thermometer goes up!! The diversity of tea comes in very handy during hot days. Below are some great ideas on how to incorporate tea in your summertime fun.

Cool-Off Tea Smoothie
2 cups frozen unsweetened mixed fruit (peaches, melon, pineapple, grapes, etc)
3/4 cup brewed Teavana Mango Green tea, warm to cool
3 tablespoons Teavana White honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Combine fruit, tea, honey and lemon juice in a blender; blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately with a tiny umbrella. Good for kids!

Tea Margarita
For each glass, you will need:
1 lime or lemon wedge
sugar to coat rim of glasses
1/2 to 2/3 cup of strongly brewed Teavana lemon green tea frozen into 6 to 8
small ice cubes in the freezer
2 1/2 tablespoons (1 1/4 ounces) premium tequila such as Cuervo or Patron
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Cointreau or Grand Marnier
2 tablespoons sugar
Rub the lime wedge around the rim of an old-fashioned glass. Dip and rotate the rim in the saucer of sugar, making sure to keep the sugar on the outside. In a blender, combine the green tea ice cubes, tequila, lemon juice, Cointreau, and sugar. Blend on the pulse setting until slushy. Pour into the sugar-rimmed glass.

Traditional Thai Iced Tea
6 tablespoons of Teavana Thai Tea Blend steeped and prepared accordingly
4 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons cream
6 tablespoons condensed milk
Prepare Thai Tea blend according to directions. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Fill 6 tall glasses with crushed ice and add tea to 3/4 full. Add 1 tablespoon cream and 1 tablespoon condensed milk to each glass.
Serve with iced-tea spoon so guests can swirl the mixture themselves. Cool for a dinner party.

Have a great summer!!!!

I am tempted to make the tea margarita asap!!
I also buy popsicle trays and fill them with fruity tea (they make wonderful treats). I also fill ice cube trays with flavorful tea and then drop a tea cube into a glass of water (nice hint of flavor).
