Bubble Tea Recipe

For a while, the Bubble Tea Recipe was on our main site. Needless to say, it was very popular, but since we no longer sell Tapioca Pearls, it didn’t make sense to keep it there. However, we can add it to the blog:

  • Heat 6-8 cups of water to boiling in a rice cooker (or larger saucepan)
  • Add 1 (10-ounce) package of tapioca pearls to the boiling water. Do not stir at first. Allow pearls to boil for 15 minutes covered.
  • Open and stir, allowing the tapioca to cook for another 15 minutes covered.
  • Open to stir once again then unplug rice cooker/ remove from heating element allow the pearls to steep for 10 minutes with the lid open.
  • Strain pearls into a colander and rinse with cold water, draining completely.
  • Transfer cooked pearls to a plastic container with an ample amount of honey or a simple sugar syrup mixture stirring to coat the pearls, sweeten to your taste.
  • Serve 1/4 pearls per 16 ounces or more as you desire.
Pearls should be soft with a firm consistency and shiny black in color.

Do not add water to the cooked pearls as the tapioca will continue absorb any water added to them, and the consistency will change to become too “soggy”.

Enjoy either warm (fresh cooked) or cooled/room temperature, but make sure to consume within an 8-hour period. Tapioca should not be refrigerated after cooked.
